Vitamin E
Alpha-tocopherol is the only form of vitamin E that is utilised by the human body. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that comes in numerous different forms. Its primary function is that of an antioxidant, which involves removing unstable electrons, often known as "free radicals", that are harmful to cells. The importance of adequate nutrition including Vitamin E in support of healthy brain function, among other important body organs and functions mentioned, was recognized when direct links between nutritional status and cognitive performances were studied.
